Event History

For over twenty years, West Coast Turbo Buick, Classic Buick, and classic car fans have gathered in the rural Northern San Diego area of Valley Center for the West Coasts largest gathering of Turbo Buicks (aka Grand Nationals and Turbo Ts) and the Classics from the SoCal Gran Sport club members.

For the last twelve years, the annual event has been at held the Bates Nut Farm on the first Sunday in June each year. This location is situated on 100 acres of land with one of the most picturesque settings you will ever see in combination with this many Buicks. In 2014 the event boasted the largest attendance of Turbo Buicks to date and we anticipate equal or greater attendance for the years to come. The event is open to all vehicles to park in an area that accommodates well over 100 vehicles under numerous shaded trees.

Amenities at the event include a full service hamburger stand, a General Store stocked with countless varieties of nut related snacks, homemade fudge, and souvenirs. The hamburger stand will be open for food, or, you are welcome to pack a lunch and refreshments. There are two (2) major Casinos within 3 to 12 miles from the Bates location. Entry to the event is FREE.
